Verify that you're a student to unlock student plans. You can verify in the app or in My account on this site.
University
Open the link sent to your school email and you're verified. We don't store the address.
Middle & high school
Send your school name and a photo of your student ID. We delete the photo as soon as it's reviewed.
Valid for the school year
Verification lasts until the end of February, when the school year ends. Verify again when the new term starts in March.
Student plans and verification open together with paid plans.
Your lectures stay on your device
Recordings and transcripts are stored on your device by default.
Stored on device
Audio is sent only when you use cloud transcription or AI correction, and is not kept on Lecta's servers afterward.

When and on which devices?
Lecta Note launches in November 2026 on Android phones and tablets (Google Play) and on iPad and iPhone (App Store).
Is it free?
New accounts get free tokens, enough to try a full lecture. On-device transcription uses no tokens. For more, choose a plan or token pack in the app.
Does it work offline?
On-device transcription works offline. AI correction, cloud transcription, AI summary notes and translation need an internet connection.
Which lecture materials can I attach?
PDF, PowerPoint (PPTX) and Word (DOCX). Scanned PDFs without text work too, and you can attach several files to one recording.
How do I verify as a student?
University students verify with a school email, middle and high school students with a student ID photo. Do it in the app or in My account.
Can I record lectures?
Please get permission from the lecturer and attendees before recording, and check your school's rules.
How do I delete my account?
